MSAR Real Estate Institute 2009
Salesperson Postlicense
and Broker Prelicense

BACKGROUND
The MSAR Real Estate Institute is approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission to offer the Salesperson Prelicense course, the Broker course and Continuing Education classes.  Our school code is #900159 and our approval is renewable on December 31, 2008.
 
GRADING
Students are required to score a 75% or above on the final exam to pass the course.  Should a student fail to meet this score, they will be allowed to retake the exam.  All students are expected to complete the final exam or retake exam within one month of the exam date for their class.  Failure to comply with this policy will result in the student's having to re-enroll in the sourse.  Should a student fail to achieve a passing score on a second examination, the student must repeat all in-class instruction before taking another examination.  The fee to retake the course is $75.00.  There will be NO EXCEPTIONS on this policy.   
  
DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
All new students with prior criminal convictions or Disciplinary Actions (including DUI) may file an application for Preliminary Decision with the Commission before or immediately upon enrollment.  Such students should utilize the Commission's Preliminary Decision Application found in the AMP Candidate Information Booklet.
 
A student who waits until he or she has taken the examination to seek Commission review of a conviction/disciplinary action faces a possible delay of sevaral weeks in obtaining a license.
 
SCHEDULE CHANGES
Scheduled dates, locations and prices are subject to change.
 
CLASS CANCELLATION
Sufficient enrollment is required to convene this course.  MSAR REI reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or combine courses and to change instructors, fees and/or classroom assignments when necessary.  In the event MSAR REI cancels the course, students will receive a full refund.  All refunds will be made in the form of the original payment, with the exception of cash payments, which will be refunded by check.  Please allow up to four weeks to receive check payments.
ABSENCES
In accordance with the rules of the Georgia Real Estate Commission,  a specific number of in-class hours are required for these courses; therefore, there are no excused absences.  It is the policy of the MSAR Real Estate Institute that any missed sessions must be made up in the manner prescribed in our Make-Up Policy.  For inclement weather please tune in to Channel 11 television and 94.1 FM radio for all information on school closing or delayed openings.  School closings will be handled by the MSAR office administration accordingly.
 
REFUNDS
Tuition refunds, minus a $25.00 processing fee, will be granted until the start of the second class of a student's original scheduled course. For the Broker course tuition refunds will require the processing fee plus an additional $75.00 book fee, if the books have been written in.  After the start of the second class of either course, NO REFUNDS will be made, however, the tuition fee minus the penalities may be applied to a later class date.  An additional $75.00 transfer fee will be required.
 
TESTING
Final exams required for the Broker and Postlicense courses are usually administered at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Please call the school to confirm the weekly testing schedule.
 
TRANSFERS
Any student who wishes to transfer into a later class date will be assessed a $75.00 transfer fee plus the cost of updated materials, if any.
 
NONDISCRIMINATION
The MSAR Real Estate Institute will not discriminate based on race, color, ex, religion, national origin, familial, or handicap status in the establishment of fees, entrance qualifications or standards for successful completion of any course.
MISCELLANEOUS
The school is not responsible for personal property of students.  No pagers, laptops, recording devices, children or pets are allowed in the classrooms and cellphones must be turned off.  The classroom temperature may be cooler than some students prefer.  It is recommended that all students dress accordingly.  Any student exhibiting the signs of alcohol or drug's use or those students exhibiting inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave the classroom.  We ask that all students treat the facility as they would their home.  Please help by placing trash in the appropriate containers, cleaning your work space and please remember, our facility is a "Smoke Free" facility.
